In a horrifying move this week, President Obama proposed to open vast new expanses of our coastlines to offshore oil and gas drilling.
Is this the same guy who has repeatedly talked of our need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, invest in clean energy and protect wildlife?

In a horrifying move this week, President Obama proposed to open vast new expanses of our coastlines to offshore oil and gas drilling.
Is this the same guy who has repeatedly talked of our need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, invest in clean energy and protect wildlife?
Tell President Obama that you oppose his new offshore drilling plan »
If implemented, Obama's plan would overturn a long-standing moratorium on oil drilling in the Atlantic south of Delaware, putting the North Atlantic right whales -- already one of the rarest marine animals -- at even greater risk. Plus it would jeopardize commercial fisheries and vital habitat for sea turtles off North Carolina's coast.
And despite making Alaska's Bristol Bay off-limits, drilling elsewhere off Alaska would threaten polar bears, walruses and bowhead whales.
The estimated three years oil supply these spots are expected to produce is not worth the permanent loss of habitat. Tell Obama that drilling is not the answer to our energy problem »
